Led a small team of well engineers supporting offshore exploration projects globally. • Provide assurance to Corporate HQ that optimal planning, execution, and mitigation processes are being followed by local Wells Teams (Romania and Mexico) on high value projects. • Provide hands on planning and Operational Engineering support to local teams. (Realized time and cost savings of >15% in Romania through well redesign). • Develop and broaden Well Engineering expertise within own team through mentorship, project placement, and formal training.

Responsible for organisational and process restructuring to optimise performance on six offshore HP platform rigs. • Restructured well engineering to clarify responsibilities and accountabilities. Created “cell” support structures for each rig leading to both QAQC and performance improvements • Led specific redesign of wells on two platforms with immediate time and cost savings of 30% and improved HSE. • In parallel, elected to the role of Chairman of IADC Caspian Chapter. Received Governmental, Corporate and Member recognition for successful promotion of diversity and young talent development.

Team Leader within Well Planning Function. Involved leading/mentoring small groups of drilling and completions engineers designing BSPs wells. Under my guidance, these teams consistently delivered top quartile commercial plans (UDC) and received multiple commendations, including MD and Shell Upstream International awards. The position also involved mentoring Shell International and Local staff, with a view to replacing me in each Team Leader role, and resulted in multiple examples of successful promotion. With each promotion I then moved to the next team to repeat the process. Technical, commercial and mentoring results led to my contract being extended 3 times. Generally, I have strong knowledge and experience of rig selection, wellheads, directional drilling, cementing, completion design, and materials selection. I was a recognised expert in all Landmark EDM well planning products (e.g. Compass, WellPlan, StressCheck, and WellCat) - Sultanate of Brunei

Having prepared (and had endorsed by Gazprom design institute, TNGG), an optimised basis of design for Achimgaz's 120+ deep, high pressure, gas well development, I moved to a residential role in Siberia heading up the detailed well engineering planning, tendering, and contracting process. I then managed the start up activities for this multi rig, turnkey, field development. Wells were then subsequently delivered for the lowest UDCs seen in the field. 95% of the staff were locals from Gazprom and all daily business was conducted in the Russian language - Novi Urengoi, Siberia, Russia

Developed well engineering planning/execution standards. Prepared optimised well designs for above Achimgaz project and had these endorsed by Gazprom design institute TNGG. Generally led technical and associated commercial input to Joint Venture execution plans - Moscow, Russia

Lead role in technical planning process for on and offshore HPHT gas exploration campaign. All wells subsequently delivered on time and under budget. Results achieved during this time led to me being invited back to Brunei as a Well Engineering Team Leader in 2012 - Sultanate of Brunei

Planning and onsite execution of conventional & HP exploration projects. Results from this time led to me being invited back to Wintershall Russia in 2007 to play a lead role in their flagship Achimgaz JV - Caspian, Siberia and Qatar.

Successfully started up ultra deep water ( 2000 m + ), turn-key, multi well drilling project for Indian National Oil Corporation - Mumbai, India.
