Perform field inspections, attend system/sub-system walkdowns, confirming equipment readiness for pre-commissioning. Perform PTW Area Controller duties as defined in SI-105 representing the Automation team on any Cluster area. Attend PTW meeting as PTW Area Controller. Assist with completion of Commissioning Test Procedures primarily for Automation discipline scope. Support Test and Validation of PCS/SIS/FGS systems through to RFSU. Broad knowledge and understanding of all types of field instrumentation used in control applications.

Assists the Pre-commissioning E&I team with Commissioning of instruments, instrument panels, Vendor supplied instrumentation packages, HMI’s, LCP. Uses any instrument calibration or communications devices deemed necessary to properly energize, calibrate and range instrument calibration equipment. Test Loops signals to and from the PLC’s and confirm feedback in the DCS/SCADA System. Point to point check communications cables. Performing or supervise any instrumentations or communications cable repairs, terminating or splicing that may be required commissioning. Assist with raising Purchase Requisitions for spares, tools or consumables required during commissioning. Assist site support vendors when they are on site. Complete C-1 Test Sheet for all instruments checked during commissioning and ensure that those test sheets are properly recorded in the Progress Tracking Database. Coordinate and assist the Contractor’s Instrumentation Team in regards to daily activities if requested, in order to properly test all site instrumentation. Be familiar with KAZ Minerals HSE standards. Provision of consultative services to all departments with regards to support on trouble shooting on existing equipment, design improvement and safe implementation thereof. Documenting and drafting of hardware and software changes in logic diagrams and all databases and kept up to date.

Project: Prorva. Tengiz - Atyrau, Duties and Responsabilities (Purpose of the Role): Lead the control systems commissioning strategy to the Project in terms of instrument and control commissioning. Responsible for the control systems and general process instrumentation activities including serial and network communications/PLC based systems including testing and managing all process controls and safaty shutdown systems associated with project. Oversee installation, check-out, troubleshooting, operation of electronic insrumentation and all end elements that monitor, temperature, or pressere in an automated or controlled systems environment. Plan stepwise commissioning details according to the overall procedure and instruct commissioning crews and or subcontractor for the necessary action.
